A man's 'shrimps is bugs' tattoo has become an instant meme
A man's 'shrimps is bugs' tattoo has become an instant meme
Getting a tattoo is a permanent commitment which some end up regretting, like one man who took to Reddit to ask what he should cover his "Shrimps is bugs," tattoo with. In a post to Reddit's r/TattooDesigns forum, user Lewbular was looking for some inspiration for a cover-up tattoo wrote: “I need ideas for a horizontal design for this dub tattoo I got when I was 19." That tattoo itself is located on one of the guy's legs just above the knee in a simple sans-serif font "shrimps is bugs," and added the kind of design he's looking for to replace the bizarre tattoo. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter "I like American tradition black and grey type stuff but I haven’t been able to find any designs that would cover it and look good," he added. Cover up suggestions? by u/Lewbular in TattooDesigns But he ended up getting a different response entirely as everyone urged him to keep the original inking. One person wrote: "This may be the best tattoo I’ve ever seen. It would be a travesty to get it covered. Now, what you should do is get a frame tattoo around it." "Honestly I would just add more tattoos around it so it looks more natural. It'll blend in with the rest of them. I f***in love this tattoo. Shrimps is bugs," another person said. Someone else added: Hahahah I just love the idea that this guy got the funniest/greatest tattoo of all time, to the extent that he can’t even ask for advice on how to get rid of it b/c we all just like it so much. "19 year old you created a masterpiece, don’t go back on it now! Shrimps is bugs!!!" a fourth person commented. Since then the "shrimps is bugs" tattoo has been making rounds on other social media platforms such as Twitter where one woman shared the photo along with some Reddit comments. "Reddit is mostly bad, but this thread of a man asking for advice about covering up a tattoo, only for everyone to think he’s insane for wanting to cover up 'shrimps is bugs,'" she said. This also spurred a lot of reaction, with over 55,000 likes and users showed some love for the tattoo as well. Ironically, the man posted with the purpose to find another design to cover it with and now people are jokingly saying they want the tattoo themselves. How to take part in FaZe Rug's 1UP candy challenge
American YouTuber FaZe Rug has released his own brand of candy designed to create a user experience for the consumer. FaZe, whose real name is Brian Awadis, launched 1UP Candy – a product designed to appeal to his mainly Gen Z audience – as an experience-driven sweet treat. The 26-year-old YouTuber has 23 million subscribers and has used his following to help launch the first product under the 1UP name. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter The initial product is a sour gummy marketed as the Sour Gummy Challenge as it comes alongside a dare that can win the user money if they complete it. How do you take part in the challenge? To successfully complete it, challengers have to put three sour gummies in their mouths and suck on them for thirty seconds while keeping a straight face the entire time. If they are able to complete it and provide evidence in the form of a TikTok or Instagram post, hashtagged #1UPsourchallenge and accompanied with the Cash App information, users can be in with a chance of winning cash prizes. I Created the Worlds Sourest Candy - SOUR CHALLENGE www.youtube.com Rug explained: “When I was approached to fully engage in developing a new candy that was designed to be fun and social, I jumped all over the opportunity.” He continued: “Anyone who knows me knows I love candy, and I love challenging my family, friends and fans to experience it with me.” In a YouTube video launch, Rug tested the challenge on his friends and family, with two out of three failing and having to use the neutraliser to get rid of the sour taste from their mouths. It is recommended by the company that the challenge is avoided by people who have soft teeth, sensitive gums or gastrointestinal disorders. The co-founder of 1UP, Matt Weiss, said: “Launching 1UP Candy with an experiential sour candy challenge is the perfect way for Rug to reach through the screen — and even create connections among his viewers as they experience the candy together via social media.” Have your say in our news democracy. Debate erupts over who was hotter - young Robert De Niro or young Al Pacino
Debate erupts over who was hotter - young Robert De Niro or young Al Pacino
Twitter users have been known to debate all manner of topics, but the most recent viral question saw users split over who they thought was hotter – young Robert De Niro or young Al Pacino. It was a question posed by Twitter user Ashely Reese who took to the social media platform to settle a debate at a wedding she was attending. Reese probably wasn’t anticipating that the tweet would go viral, drawing 277,372 votes and over 28 million views. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter She created a poll, explaining, “At a wedding and having a big debate rn. Please vote. Who was hotter?” with the two options being the American actors “Young Al Pacino” and “Young Robert De Niro”. In the comments, people made their arguments and posted pictures to support them. Despite Reese herself arguing for young Al Pacino to take the crown, not everyone was as convinced. Someone argued: “LOVE LOVE PACINO DOWN! But Mr. Bobby D eats him up EVERY TIME. He’s actively doing it right here.” Another urged: “The only right answer.” “This is the best a man has looked,” one Twitter user wrote of young De Niro. Others, however, vehemently agreed with the OP. One person wrote: “This is the correct answer, are half of you having some kind of episode, what on Earth.” “I’m sorry but all you saying De Niro are out of your actual minds, look at this gorgeous man,” someone else argued. Another wrote: “70s Al Pacino was one of the most beautiful people to ever exist on this earth.” In the end, the two acting legends could not be separated as the poll ended with a 50/50 percentage split of the votes. So, we'll probably never know the true answer to this question. Have your say in our news democracy. Couple told they 'go to prison' after licking ice cream in store and putting it back
Couple told they 'go to prison' after licking ice cream in store and putting it back
A couple has been slammed for opening up a tub of ice cream in a supermarket and licking it before putting it back in the freezer. The grotesque incident appeared to be part of an unwelcome online trend that first appeared in 2019 and saw others filming themselves licking ice cream in shops and putting it back on freezer shelves for someone to later buy. A recent video shared on TikTok has resulted in the influencer Tequan Hines, and his girlfriend, Asia, on the sharp end of some significant backlash. In the clip, they could be seen opening and taking turns to lick a tub of Blue Bunny ice cream before returning it to the freezer. The video, which included their other social media handles, has since been deleted by Hines, but not before it had been screen recorded and reposted by other TikTok users. A video about the incident made by TikToker Noah Glen Carter has been viewed over 2.6 million times and provides a bit of an update on what happened next. Sign up to our free Indy100 weekly newsletter @noahglenncarter Replying to @NoahGlennCarter a qucik update on the ice cream licking couple #foryou #icecream #drama Carter said: “I went to the couple’s social media and apparently people have reported them to their local police department and the police department is investigating it.” On their most recent Instagram post, many people in the comments let their feelings about the couple’s grim actions be known. Someone commented: “Hope you both go to prison.” Another wrote: “I can't even defend the bulls**t y’all did with that icecream. Y’all went too far.” “You should be put in jail! Licking ice cream in a store! REPORT REPORT REPORT!” another said. One person added: “I hope u and your wifey go to jail.” Have your say in our news democracy.
