Looking to upgrade your AirPods Pro? A new version with a USB-C charging case launches on Sept. 22 for $249.99, but if you pre-order them now at Best Buy, you can save $50.
The new AirPods Pro look similar to their predecessor, but they swap out a Lightning cable for a USB-C port on the charging case, just like the new iPhone 15 lineup. They also get upgraded to an IP54 rating, making them dust, sweat, and water resistant for non-water sports and exercise.
(Source: Tim Gideon)With this week's launch of iOS 17, meanwhile, the second-gen AirPods Pro with the USB-C and Lightning charging cases will get Adaptive Audio to automatically toggle between Transparency Mode with Active Noise Cancellation depending on the sound in a user's environment. Plus, a new Conversation Awareness feature automatically lowers the volume when someone begins speaking. A third feature, Personalized Volume, uses machine learning to learn and predict the volume the wearer wants based on past preferences and adjustments.
In our review of the USB-C AirPods Pro, we find they "offer the same top-notch active noise cancellation (ANC), robust audio signature, and seamless iOS integrations as their predecessors," so they're still an Editors' Choice winner.
In addition to the $50 discount, buyers can also save up to $80 when they trade in a similar product. Plus, some other AirPods are also on sale at Best Buy. Here's what you can get:
