Although Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 just launched this month, fans already want to know when Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 starts.
Modern Warfare 3 delivered a healthy dose of nostalgia to gamers all over the world. With 16 iconic maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2009), the title brought both veteran and new players to the highs and lows of Terminal, Highrise, Skidrow, and more. Despite the maps and new Mastery Camos, the bulk of MW3's content is coming in Season 1 alongside new Call of Duty: Warzone map, Urzikstan.
So, when does Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 go live?
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 Start Date
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 starts on Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at 12 p.m. ET. Multiplayer, Warzone, and Zombies are all receiving major updates, including new maps, rewards, and weapons.
The Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 1 roadmap details the following additions coming throughout December:
- Three new 6v6 Core MP maps.
- Gunfight, All or Nothing, and more MP modes.
- New storylines in Zombies mode.
- New Urzikstan Warzone map.
- Holiday event, modes, and more.
- MW3 Season 1 Battle Pass
Plus, players will likely finally be able to progress through Prestige ranks after MW3 Season Zero contained a max level of 55.
Players will be able to pre-load the massive update a few hours before it goes live so they can hop right into the new content coming in December 2023.
Does Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Have New Multiplayer Maps?
Yes, Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 has three new Multiplayer maps. Unlike the remastered maps at launch, Meat, Greece, and Rio were designed specifically for MW3. With the Call of Duty League returning in just a couple weeks, hopefully the new maps play better on Hardpoint and Control than the current map pool.
Both casual and professional players can explore Greece and Meat at the new season's launch. Rio, on the other hand, arrives in MW3 Season 1 Reloaded.
