The lineup includes games like Street Fighter 6, Trackmania, XDefiant, Tetris, Minecraft, Genshin Impact, LEGO 2K Drive, Fortnite, Rocket League, Fall Guys, and one more title yet to be announced. In a recent Twitter post, Ludwig voiced concerns and directly addressed Faria, the head of Valorant, regarding specific issues with the challengers. These issues revolve around the promotion system and come in the midst of a series of promised Tier 2 changes. Firstly, Faria shared a tweet regarding the issues on Volarant Champions Tour, “Seeing lots of discussion on VAL tier 2 today. Want to let you know that we hear you and that we have a plan! Sustainability is just one challenge. We’re implementing a slew of changes for next year, including a fully revised calendar with more opportunities for teams to compete.”
In a response, Ludwig asserted, “PLEASE I’ll run an Offline Tier 2 tournament that ties in premier teams and GC teams it’d be hype !!!also can we fix relegation after the guard proves tier 2 is better than many tier 1 teams”
Ludwig also questioned, “Can we fix relegation after The Guard proved Tier 2 is better than many Tier 1 teams?” Faria tweeted back to Ludwig saying, “That'd be hype indeed! Ludwig x Tarik was dope and I'm happy to support you doing more. Let us know what you need. And hey I'd love to see The Guard winning. The whole point of guest slots is seeing those cinderela stories and new teams/pros making it all the way to the top!”
Ludwig seemed not satisfied with the explanation and claimed, “I’ve been pushing for relegation of VCT teams or creating expansion teams to add true value to ascension teams When the guard crushes VCT teams and they are forced to descend because the clock strikes midnight for Cinderella - it’ll be incredibly silly That combined with T2s long off season makes the whole situation more frustrating”
