Bethesda’s newest title, Starfield, has gained much attention since it was teased years ago. The space RPG is one of the most anticipated games of the year.
It also has several fantastic features, such as a detailed character customization system, a list of factions to join, stunning visuals, and a massive open world.
There are multiple reasons to love Starfield, but many players want to know if they can play it offline.
Can You Play Starfield Offline?
There’s good and bad news. The good news is Starfield's physical and digital copies are playable offline on Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The bad news is that Game Pass subscribers can only play the game online. This is because Game Pass itself requires an internet connection.
Since players can play offline, many people believe an online multiplayer mode won’t exist. An article by Rockpapershotgun reported that Bethesda Game Studios has no plans to add a multiplayer mode to Starfield.
You can buy any edition of Starfield via the official website, with the Standard version at $69.99. The game is also available via Xbox Game Pass, starting at $10 a month.
The space RPG also uses Xbox Play Anywhere, meaning players can access their Starfield save files, game add-ons, and achievements on PC or Xbox.
